DEJURE Foundation wins in the "Breakthrough in Organizational Development - 2021" nomination

The award ceremony took place on November 30 as part of the "X Forum of Civil Society Development" organized by the Initiative Center to Support Social Action “Ednannia”.

In total, the NGOs claimed five awards.

In the nomination "Advocacy Campaign - 2021" the winner was the initiative “Every voice influences” (NGO "Civil Holding GROUP OF INFLUENCE").
In the nomination "PR campaign or information campaign - 2021" the winner was the initiative "Let's clean Donbas together!" (Ukrainian Deminers Association).
In the nomination "Fundraising Campaign - 2021" the winner was the initiative "COVID-19: unite to survive" (Charity Fund “Tvoya Opora”).
In the nomination "Joining Forces or Coalition - 2021" - the winner was the "Coalition of Veterans' Spaces" (NGO "Prostir Mozhlyvostei").

The DEJURE Foundation was awarded the special nomination "Breakthrough in Organizational Development - 2021". The organization's award was received by the DEJURE Executive Director Marina Khromykh.

“Of course, those present in the hall probably expected to see ex-executive director Iryna Shiba or Chair of the board Mykhailo Zhernakov in my place. However, I was honoured to receive the award - a person who has not worked for a month in the DEJURE team. In my opinion, this is evidence of a high level of organizational and institutional development of the organization. After all, DEJURE, first of all, has a team and processes that are clearly aimed at overcoming arbitrariness and corruption in Ukrainian courts. My sincere thanks to the organizers of the event, the partners of the Foundation, as well as the Board and the Supervisory Board of DEJURE. This is also your reward!”

- said Maryna Khromykh, the Executive Director of the DEJURE Foundation.

“For several years, the team has been investing heavily in organizational development. We have changed the governance structure so as to prevent the least possible conflicts of interest. All activities are now in line with the three-year strategy, with fundraising planned for at least the same period. All the most important decisions regarding the strategy, budget and executive director are made by a 100% external independent Supervisory Board. We invest a lot in HR, including the professional development of the team and its members, we take care of each other's mental health and wellness. The organization has implemented a system of monitoring and assessment of impact, as well as the position of director of organizational development, who takes care of all this. The DEJURE team is sincerely grateful to Initiative Center to Support Social Action “Ednannia” for the high appreciation of our work"

Earlier, the DEJURE Foundation was shortlisted in three nominations of the Think Tank Awards from the British magazine Prospect! In particular, DEJURE was shortlisted in the following categories: The Democracy and Law Award, The Advocacy Award and One to Watch Award.
