The High Anti-Corruption Court applied compulsory process in regard to Pavlo Vovk and several of his accomplices after they ignored the hearing for the seventh time.
Judges of the District Administrative Court of Kyiv, Bohdan Sanin and Volodymyr Keleberda, appeared in person at the HACC this time. The latter came to the court for the first time and immediately challenged judge Tanasevych on the basis of a possible conflict of interests. However, Tanasevych refuted this argument, and the challenge was rejected.
As a result, 4 defendants should be brought to the hearing on November 18: Pavlo Vovk, Yevhen Ablov, Ihor Kachur and Ihor Pohribnichenko. The compulsory process was not applied to Oleksiy Ohurtsov, probably because he was in the hospital.
We will not be surprised if, by November 18, the head of the DACK becomes severely ill, finds himself in the hospital, or looks for other ways to avoid a compulsory process, but in the end, he will have to appear before the court. DEJURE Foundation will monitor the case and keep you informed.
