In Ukraine, the judiciary, as well as the prosecution, have a consistently high level of distrust, according to research. For example, according to a survey conducted in November 2019, the level of distrust towards the judiciary was 73%, and towards the prosecution was 63%. In 2020, the level of distrust towards the judiciary grew up to 77% and the prosecution up to 68%, according to a survey conducted in December 2020.
This report highlights the reform processes, as well as key developments, trends and issues in the judiciary and constitutional justice and prosecution sectors in Ukraine in 2020. The information in this report can be useful for organizations that create indexes that research and measure the rule of law and collect data on Ukraine, as well as for think tanks, NGOs, international organizations, and political actors interested in relevant fields.
